The Fractal Institute
Announcing an exciting 2-day workshop for APS Elementary teachers. Learn how to use the dazzling ideas of fractals to teach science and math Standards in your classrooms. Kids love fractals! Now teachers can learn to use a valuable set of fractal activities, projects and lessons to educate and inspire your students.

This workshop is a total of 8 hours over two afternoons and will be offered twice:
- March 15 & 16 1-5 PM
- April 2 & 3 1-5PM
The workshops will take place in the Rio Hondo room in the west tower of the main APS building at 6400 Uptown Blvd, NE Albuquerque, NM
Upon completion, teachers will receive a $100 stipend for participating.
Although the workshops are now full, you may put yourself on the waiting list by emailing: Teachers (at) FractalFoundation.org
We are seeking to provide this training for groups of at least 2-3 teachers per school, so please invite your colleagues to join you! The lessons and activities are particularly aimed at teachers of 3d, 4th, and 5th grades.

This program is made possible by generous support from NM PED Math & Science Bureau, APS, and Albuquerque Community Foundation.

I am very interested in teacher professional development from your foundation. I have recently been researching and implementing math, science and technology into my junior high art curriculum. I am looking to these subjects to engage the digital native students that are emerging in our classrooms.
Please check back for future updates as we plan to offer this same Fractal Institute for teachers outside the Albuquerque area. We’ll also be developing fractal-based professional development for middle school and high school teachers too!
