he Fractal Foundation is honored to have been invited back for yet another year of fractal outreach activities at Sky City Community School out in the beautiful fractal-covered landscape of Acoma, New Mexico. Fractal Foundation Education Director Emma Eckert led three presentations and activity sessions for students attending the 21st Century Summer School STEM program this summer. The students in attendance ranged in age from Kindergarten to 8th grade, and the room was filled with excitement and enthusiasm as the kids learned about fractals in and around us, how to identify the different types of fractal patterns, and finally, built a collaborative fractal art project – unique fractal triangles created by each student combined into even bigger fractal triangles! Students of all ages can find a love and appreciation of math and science through the beauty of fractals!
