The Fractal Foundation took part in Belen, New Mexico’s September STEM Saturday Adventure located at St. Mary’s Catholic School Gymnasium on September 8, 2018. Families even traveled from outside of Belen to attend this event! Kids of all ages created their own 3-D Sierpinski triangle and/or 3-D Menger cube to take home and share with other family and friends.
Kids and adults contributed small Menger cubes to create an even larger cube that stayed behind at the school as a fractal souvenir. Attendees were surprised to find out that they carry fractals in their very own bodies – their lungs that are branching fractals that carry oxygen in and around the body!
